Field Roast Givaway!

So Field Roast is just about my favorite thing ever! It's vegan AND soy-free, yay! It's amazing what you can do with wheat gluten. I'm thankful to not have celiac! So Field Roast is having a contest...you can win some of their tasty products. Check it out here. We made the celebration roast for Thanksgiving dinner and everyone loved it, including Shawn who eats next to nothing :p

Thanksgiving

Today, I'm thankful to have all my wonderful friends and family. Last year, Shawn and I had dinner with our beautiful and talented friend Bitter. It was nice! This year we opted to have low key family meal at home.
The pumpkin pie is in the oven now. I used pacific foods hazelnut milk in place of condensed milk. I hope it works! We are having a field roast in place of a tofurky this year since Shawn is soy free. I've had them before, the flavor is very sophisticated :)
I'll post pics when dinner is done.

Off to Herbivore

This afternoon I'm going to Herbivore (12th & Stark) to bring in some brand new necklaces, headbands, wallets and other yummy accessories. I'm also bringing in some new skirt designs to see if they are interested. I have a feeling they will really like them. It's a fantastic new design in vintage fabric. I'll post some photos later. And stay tuned, I will because soon, i'll be posting a contest to win one of my brand new wrap skirts.

New Sewing Machine!!

I am in love with my new sewing machine. It's by far the nicest thing Ive ever sewn on. Shawn bought it for me at Rooster Roc in Portland. It's a little hole-in-the-wall industrial sewing machine shop on 72nd and Sandy. The machine is called a consew 101. On Saturday, Shawn and I spent the day sewing our Halloween costumes, switching between the consew and my serger. The consew went from one type of fabric to the next without hesitation. We sewed everything from felt and polar fleece to lycra lame! I'm very happy with it. Today I will begin sewing some custom tote bags for Flat Track Revolution. I'll post pics and links when they are done.
